Develop Namespace Extensions in .Net Fast And Painlessly!
EZNamespaceExtensions.Net is a framework for fast, painless and easy development of Windows Explorer namespace extensions. EZNamespaceExtensions.Net eliminates the time-consuming, error-prone and complicated process of developing namespace extensions using an innovative yet simple and easy-to-use object model.

Tame namespace extension development
Namespace extension development is notorious for its difficulty, subtleties and for the sheer amount of work and time that is required. With EZNamespaceExtensions.Net, you can concentrate on writing the functionality of your namespace extension and not worry about the hundred things that are necessary to integrate the namespace extension seamlessly into Windows Explorer. Develop your namespace extension in a matter of hours/days instead of months and months on end.

Full feature support
Shell namespace extensions developed with EZNamespaceExtensions.Net support all kinds of features including folder/non-folder items, sub-folders, sub-folder navigation, details/column view, contextmenus, background contextmenus, drag-drop, icons, overlay icons, thumbnails, groups/categories, property sheets and many other features which enable the shell namespace extension to integrate smoothly and seamlessly into Windows Explorer and other browsers.

Visual Studio IDE Project Wizards : jumpstart namespace extension development!
EZNamespaceExtensions.Net comes with IDE project wizards for Visual Studio 2002, 2003 and 2005 which auto-generate much of the boilerplate skeletal code for a ready-to-build-and-run namespace extension.

Shell MegaPack ActiveX & .Net New Build Available
A new build dated 10 April 2006 is available for download. The new build has a couple of bug-fixes, some new features such as alpha-blended drag-selection in FileView on Windows XP, sort-column hilight in FileView on Windows XP, multi-monitor support to ShellAppBar in ShellObjects, and some other minor features.

Please download the new build from : http://www.ssware.com/download.htm

Shell MegaPack.Net redistribution procedures.
Our Knowledge base has some important info on how to redistribute the assembly files for the controls from Shell MegaPack.Net with your applications. Please read the topic here :

FolderView.Net : http://www.ssware.com/support/viewtopic.php?t=192
FileView.Net : http://www.ssware.com/support/viewtopic.php?t=84
ShComboBox.Net : http://www.ssware.com/support/viewtopic.php?t=259
ShellObjects.Net : http://www.ssware.com/support/viewtopic.php?t=313

The above topics have been recently updated to reflect correct information. Earlier, the topics incorrectly stated that it was necessary to copy the assembly files to the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) on the end-user's system while installation. This is incorrect. It is sufficient to only copy to the assembly files to the same folder as the executable file. The advantage of this is that you can do a XCOPY deployment of your application and your application does not modify/interfere with the GAC on the end-user's system.
