If the ActiveX Controls (.ocx files) are located in a long-filename directory, then creating a package (such as a cab file) using the Package and Deployment Wizard may give the following error :
“The information found in the file c:\Program Files\LogicNP Software\Shell MegaPack ActiveX\FileView ActiveX Control\filev012.ocx does not match that found in the registry. Make sure the file is registered on this computer in the directory you are retrieving it from. Your project may not function properly if you continue. Do you wish to continue?”
The Package and Deployment Wizard doesn't support ActiveX files that are installed in a long-filename directory. To resolve this issue, copy all the ocx files to a directory which does not have a long filename path such as 'C:\shellmegapack' and register the ocx files from their new location. The Package and Deployment Wizard should now work correctly. |
