CryptoLicensing allows you to insert a generated license or serial code in a template. For example, you may wish to prefix each generated license or serial code with your own prefix string such a product code as follows :
MYPRODUCT-TYQUQA-6GFDS4-65REWT-QTYTRG-7YTREW-Q
To do this, switch to the 'License Processing' tab and select the 'Basic' plugin. In the 'Template' text box, specify :
Code: | MYPRODUCT-%serialcode% |
In the above template, the %serialcode% placeholder will be replaced by the actual generated serialcode.
Another example where templates may be used is to automatically put a generated license code in an email to be sent to the customer. For this, you can use the following template:
Code: |
Dear customer,
Thank you for purchasing My Product. Your license code is:
%licensecode%
Regards
MyCompany |
Notes
If you put the generated license or serial code in a template, it is your responsibility to extract and present ONLY the actual license or serial code for validation. In the above example, the string "MYPRODUCT-TYQUQA-6GFDS4-65REWT-QTYTRG-7YTREW-Q" will NOT validate - you must extract the actual serial code while presenting it to the CryptoLicense class for validation.
See the 'Placeholders Used while Processing licenses' topic in the help file for a complete list of placeholders. |
