We are pleased to introduce a new addition to ShellObjects - ShellAppBar. ShellAppBar allows you to convert your forms into application desktop toolbars similar to Quick Launch with complete autohide and drag-docking functionality. Using the component is extremely simple - just add the component on your form and you are done! When the form loads it will be docked to the specified screen edge! ShellAppBar is available in both the ActiveX and .Net versions of ShellObjects.

Visual Studio 2005 Support

Our Shell MegaPack control suite completely supports Visual Studio 2005 Beta2. This new update fixes a couple of issue concerning usage in Visual Studio 2005. With Visual Studio 2005 set to be released in a few weeks, we are happy to have complete support for our controls in Visual Studio 2005/.Net 2.0 projects.

Windows Vista Support

This new update fixes an issue concerning usage under Windows Vista Beta1. We are committed to fully supporting usage under Vista as new Beta releases continue to be released.

What's New in this update of Shell MegaPack?

In addition to the new ShellAppBar component, our other controls FolderView, FileView and ShComboBox also have some changes and bugfixes. The version number has remained the same (7.0.0.0), however the build number ( seen in the About Box ) has changed to 552008. Download the latest release from the Download Page.

FolderView

• Index property of ShellMenuItem did not work correctly.
• Node context menus were shown when Shift+F10 or Windows App key was pressed even if the ShowContextMenus property was set to False.
• Fixed problem of non-display of icons in Windows Vista Beta1.

FileView

• Index property of ShellMenuItem did not work correctly.
• Item context menus were shown when Shift+F10 or Windows App key was pressed even if the ShowContextMenus property was set to False.
• A radio check mark is shown in the background menu next to the menu item corresponding to the current viewstyle.
• Fixed problem of non-display of icons in Windows Vista Beta1.

ShComboBox

• Items shown under My Computer are now properly sorted.
• Fixed problem with wrong displaynames for shared/network items.

ShellObjects
